About Nashir
The idea of the Nasher platform came after we saw firsthand the challenge facing Arabic literature in the Arab world and the great disconnect between the Arabic literature industry and customers based in North America and Western Europe. We believe in the power of enlightening knowledge and want to create a tool through which we can all contribute to the advancement of the Arabic book publishing industry. Audiobook use is at an all-time high and is approaching the level of print and e-book consumption, especially with younger audiences.
The Arabic audiobook industry is growing rapidly, but is still restricted in its geography and genres. Nonfiction books that deal with serious topics are subject to censorship. Nasher's platform is able to overcome these challenges and allows us all to decide what we listen to.
The Nashir platform gives you the ability to choose which books you want to upload and helps us all share the mission to highlight them.
The platform splits income with authors, creating a new source of income for them to help them survive. Traditional publishing has long ceased to play this role for the vast majority of authors in the Arab world.
